Sajit is a dual-qualified solicitor (India and England and Wales) and has been with the firm since its inception. He began his career as a litigator and established the real estate vertical in DSK Legal in 2005. He aimed to create a full-service real estate advisory to meet all client requirements related to buying, selling, developing properties, investing, financing (debt, equity and quasi-debt), dispute resolution and re-structuring in the real estate and hospitality sectors. Today, he is recognized for his 360 degree view on all aspects of the real estate industry and is considered as an industry veteran known for his practical and solution-oriented approach and exceptional service-oriented attitude.

Sajit provides strategic legal counsel to various real estate clients, including property developers, builders, funds (domestic and international), banks, landowners, corporate / industry houses and governmental authorities. He caters to their requirements on all aspects of real estate due diligence, acquisition and development, investments and finance, funds, REITs, etc.

Sajit has advised on leading transactions in the sector and has been involved in complex mergers and acquisitions, joint venture/joint development, and private equity / lending transactions involving large-scale residential and commercial projects, townships, warehousing, data centres and hospitality projects, and industrial and SEZ developments.

In addition to transactional work, Sajit plays a key role in handling significant and complex litigation and arbitrations within the sector. He also works extensively on insolvency and bankruptcy-related matters, representing a diverse range of stakeholders, including creditors, resolution professionals, resolution applicants, and borrowers, before various forums, including NCLTs, NCLAT, all courts and tribunals such as revenue courts / tribunals, district courts, High Courts, Supreme Court of India, etc.

Sajit has also been assisting governmental agencies in various policy related matters. He is a regular speaker at seminars on legal developments and current issues in the real estate and construction sector.
