About Gaurav Mistry
Gaurav is a transaction lawyer and focuses on corporate and commercial matters such as mergers and acquisitions in the private and public space, strategic alliances and joint ventures involving domestic and international clients, investments by private equity and venture capital investors.
Gaurav specializes in corporate laws, foreign investment laws, securities laws, and regularly advises on structuring of commercial transactions and documentation.
Gaurav’s experience is spread across various sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, education, logistics, healthcare, infrastructure, retail, manufacturing, insurance, media, microfinance, etc.

Relevant Experience
- Advising large multinational and domestic clients on various corporate and commercial matters including structuring, documenting and negotiating complex commercial transactions, more particularly those relating to acquisitions, corporate restructuring, strategic alliances, joint ventures and other similar transactions.
- Advising clients in various capital market transactions including initial public offers, offer for sale, qualified institutional placements, open offer, etc.
- Advising large domestic and foreign private equity funds in various types of transactions viz. minority, control or acquisition transactions and advising them on exits to strategic or other financial investors.
- Advice and documentation pertaining to corporate restructuring through mergers, demergers, slump sale and asset sale.
- Rendering general corporate advisory services to clients in connection with a host of corporate laws including company law, securities law, exchange control regulations, takeover regulations, and competition law.
- Advised clients in relation to their compliance obligations and risk mitigation under various Indian laws.
