About Avinash Kumar Khard
Avinash Kumar Khard is a partner at the firm and has more than 12 years’ experience in representing various stakeholders such as private and public sector companies and undertakings, public sector banks, Governments, private banks, foreign lenders, non-banking finance companies, borrowers, Indian bidders, foreign bidders, financial and multilateral institutions, developers, funds etc. in relation to development, financing, construction, operation and acquisition of capital-intensive projects and facilities around Asia, Middle East and Africa. His experience in projects and project finance include, amongst other things, roads and highways, sea-links, ports, airports roads, smart cities and other infrastructure assets.
Relevant experience
- Advising on matters pertaining to project development and project financing, term loan facilities, revolving and letters of credit facilities, bonds, listed and unlisted debenture issuances, commercial paper facilities and financing from multilateral institutions.
- Drafting and negotiating key project documents and project financing documents including concession and license agreements, EPC contracts, off-take agreements, O&M contracts sponsor support agreements, rupee loan agreements, inter-creditor agreements, common terms agreements, security documents, pledge agreements, trustee agreements, debenture trust deeds.
He is registered with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa. He has a B.S.L- LL.B. degree from ILS Law College, University of Pune. Prior to joining the firm, he has worked at the firms, HSA Advocates and SNG & Partners.
