Experience

Hema is a part of the firm’s corporate practice group. Her broad areas of expertise are general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, and strategic investments across sectors including infrastructure, financial services and fintech, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.
She has represented global and domestic investors, financial institutions, and corporates in high-value domestic and cross-border transactions involving complex structuring, regulatory matters, and strategic business considerations

She graduated from the National Law University Odisha in 2014.

Recent Key Assignments

  • SEWA Grih Rin Limited (a housing finance company), in relation to acquisition of controlling stake by Arpwood Partners in SEWA.
  •  O2 Power (a platform jointly established by EQT and Temasek), in relation to sale of 4.7GW renewable energy platform of O2 Power in India to JSW Neo Energy.
  •  Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), on its investment into Sustainable Energy Infra Trust, a renewable energy infrastructure investment trust (InvIT) backed by OTPP and Mahindra group.
  • Hexa Climate, in relation to (a) its acquisition of various solar and wind power projects from Ravindra Energy; and (b) its acquisition of various Fortum group companies engaged in the development of solar and wind power projects.
  • Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, in relation to a platform for developing solar, wind and hybrid power projects in India with Viviid Renewables Private Limited and ongoing advisory.
  • Actis, in setting up a real estate development platform with RX Propellant, with the professional management/ promoter owners of RX Propellant.
