About Aparajit Bhattacharya
Aparajit’s focus areas are Corporate Commercial, M&A and PE-VC. He is also a part of the Projects practice, with a keen focus on environmental, health & safety (EHS) matters. Aparajit has a pioneering practice in the area of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and advised on one of the first CDM projects in India. The spectrum of industries he has advised include manufacturing (across diverse sectors), consumer products and durables, retail, financial services, infrastructure, power/ energy (including renewable energy), pharmaceuticals and health-care, hospitality, F&B, IT and ?e-commerce.
He has led diverse assignments / transactions in the corporate commercial transaction advisory / M&A / PE and cross border transaction space, including strategic and private equity investments and VC transactions, management buy-outs and corporate restructuring transactions, foreign investment into India, entry strategies, and joint ?ventures.
Aparajit has consistently been ranked as a Leading Lawyer in Corporate Commercial and M&A by Chambers Asia, Chambers Global, as well as Asia Pacific Legal 500. Aparajit sits on the board of directors of several companies. He also sits on the board of directors of Sight Life, the only non-profit global health organization solely focused on eliminating corneal blindness in the U.S., India and around the world.
